G検プログラムは、日本でのキャリア形成を支援することを目的としています。G検は、日本で働きたい外国人、彼らを雇用したい日本企業、そして日本の多くの教育機関の間でより良い関係を築くことで、より良い職場環境づくりに重点を置いています。

「グローバル人材ビジネススキル検定」（略称：G検）は、日本での就労を希望する方を対象とした標準化された検定試験です。G検は、初級から上級まで、以下の4段階（レベル）に分かれています。
4級（スターターレベル）：日本企業の社員として最低限必要なセツグスキルと基礎ビジネススキルを習得していること。
3級（プレイヤーレベル）：割り当てられた業務を遂行できるセツグスキルと基礎ビジネススキルを習得していること。
2級（リーダーレベル）：国籍を問わず誰とでも円滑なコミュニケーションを図り、様々な分野で優れたチームプレーヤーとなることができる、高度なセツグスキルと基礎ビジネススキルを習得していること。
1級（プロフェッショナルレベル）：優れた日本語能力を有し、国際的な視野を持つ優秀な人材を育成することで、企業に貢献できること。

日本の組織で成功するためには、応募者は日本語能力だけでなく、日本文化へのビジネス感覚に加え、「接待スキル」も総合的に評価されます。「接待スキル」があれば、周りの人はあなたと一緒に働きたい、そして採用したいという気持ちになります。「基礎ビジネススキル」があれば、管理職はあなたに重要な仕事を任せてくれるでしょう。

G検を受験することには、以下のような多くのメリットがあります。
第一に、G検は就職活動において有利に働くでしょう。
第二に、G検は日本のビジネスエチケットへの理解を深め、日本文化への理解を深めるのに役立ちます。
第三に、G検は日本での職場における信頼関係を育みます。
さらに、G検は日本で重要な専門スキルと「接待」という日本の概念の重要性をより深く理解するのに役立ちます。
さらに、G検を通して、「おもてなし」として知られる日本のホスピタリティに必要なスキルと原則を効果的に学ぶことができます。
さらに、G検は、日本人だけでなく外国人の同僚からも信頼を得るのに役立ちます。
最後に、これらすべてを身につけることで、職場でのパフォーマンス評価が向上するだけでなく、自信もさらに高まります。

「G検」は、日本で働きたい世界中の人々と、彼らと共に働く日本人を対象としています。
「G検」は、1) 大学院、大学、短期大学、語学学校などの留学生、2) 日本で働いている、または働きたいと考えている海外出身者、3) 外国人と共に働く日本人を対象としています。

The G-ken program is intended to develop your career in Japan. G-ken is focused on creating better working environments by fostering better relationships amongst foreigners who want to work in Japan, Japanese companies who want to employ them, and numerous educational institutions in Japan.

The “Business Skills Test for Global Human Resources” (or G-ken) is a standardized series of tests for people who have a desire to work in Japan.

G-ken is categorized into 4 grades (levels) from beginner to advanced skill holder as follows:

4th Grade (Starter Level): to have an adequate level of SETSUGU skills and basic business skills to satisfy the minimum requirements as a staff member of a Japanese organization.
3rd Grade (Player Level): to have a sufficient level of SETSUGU skills and basic business skills to accomplish assigned tasks.
2nd Grade (Leader Level): to have an advanced level of SETSUGU skills and basic business skills to create effective communication with anyone regardless of nationality and to become an excellent team player in various fields.
1st Grade (Professional Level): to have excellent Japanese language proficiency and may contribute to the company by developing skilled staff with an international perspective.

In order to be successful in a Japanese organization candidates are comprehensively judged by their “SETSUGU skills” in addition to their Japanese cultural business awareness – not solely by their Japanese language skills. Having “SETSUGU skills” makes people want to work with you and hire you. “Basic business skills” makes those in management positions entrust important tasks to you.

There are many benefits to taking the G-ken which are as follows:

First of all, G-ken can give you a competitive advantage when job hunting.
Secondly, G-ken encourages a deeper understanding of Japanese business etiquette plus an increased awareness of Japanese cultural understanding.
Third, G-ken develops trust in your professional relationships in Japan.
Furthermore, G-ken develops a better understanding of important professional skills in Japan as well as the importance of the Japanese concept of “SETSUGU”.
Additionally, with G-ken, you can effectively learn the necessary skills and principals of Japanese hospitality known as “OMOTENASHI”.

Moreover, G-ken helps to build trust in you amongst your colleagues – both Japanese as well as those from overseas.
Lastly, developing all of the above will further increase your self-confidence in addition to better performance evaluations at your workplace.

“G-ken” is intended for people from all over the world who want to work in Japan and for Japanese people who work with them.

“G-ken” is designed for 1) International Students – graduate schools, universities, colleges, language schools), 2) people from overseas countries who work – or wish to work – in Japan, and 3) Japanese people who work with people from abroad.
