2022年のインターナショナル フード パーティーも大成功でした！

毎年、一般生徒と担任のマーク・ピカード先生が主催するインターナショナル・フード・パーティー。 そして2022年も例外なく！

インターナショナル フード パーティーは、ほとんどの場合、米国の感謝祭と同じ 11 月の第 4 木曜日に開催されます。というわけで、2022年の国際フードパーティーは11月24日に開催されました。

インターナショナル フード パーティーは、沖縄県那覇市にある専門学校ライフジュニアカレッジの一般学生向けのクラス活動です。このパーティーは持ち寄りスタイルのランチで、各参加者が小皿を持ってきて、他の参加者と共有します。ただし、一般学生およびその他の参加者は「インターナショナル」フードを持参する必要があります。つまり、日本食は許可されていません。

国際フードパーティーは、専門学校ライフジュニアカレッジの他の先生たちにも大人気です。今年のインターナショナル フード パーティーでは、スウェーデン産サーモンとポテトのグラタン、タンドリー チキン、春巻き、麻婆豆腐、シーフード パスタ、ロースト チキン、バーベキュー リブ、ポテト サラダ、ミネストローネ スープ、コーン スープのクリーム、ジンジャー ブレッド クッキー、 そしてブラウニー。

下の写真からもわかるように、お料理はとても美味しそうで、参加者の皆さんも楽しんでいました！

専門学校ライフジュニアカレッジの502号室の一般学生教室で昼休みにインターナショナルフードパーティーが開催されました。一般学生は、2 週間前に教室を飾り付けました。装飾のテーマは、秋とアメリカの感謝祭でした。一般の学生は、大きなポスターを何枚も作って、パーティーの教室を素晴らしい雰囲気にしました。

一般の学生たちは、さまざまな国のさまざまな種類の食べ物を味わうのがとても楽しくて興味深いと言いました。また、このクラス活動は、一般の学生がさまざまな種類のレシピを調理してみる非常に良い機会でもありました。専門学校ライフジュニアカレッジの学生も教員も、来年のインターナショナルフードパーティーをすでに楽しみにしています。

The 2022 International Food Party was another great success!

Every year, the General Students and their Homeroom Teacher, Mark Pickard, host the International Food Party. And 2022 was without exception! 

The International Food Party is almost always held on the 4th Thursday of November, which is the same day as Thanksgiving in the United States. Thus, the 2022 International Food Party was held on November 24th. 

The International Food Party is a Class Activity organized for and by the General Students at Vocational School LIFE Jr College in Naha, Okinawa. This party is a potluck-style lunch meaning each participant brings a small dish to share with the other participants. However, General Students and other participants are required to bring “international” food, which means Japanese food is not allowed. 

The International Food Party is also quite popular with the other teachers at Vocational School LIFE Jr College. This year’s International Food Party featured varying and delicious food including Swedish Salmon and Potato Gratin, Tandoori Chicken, Spring Rolls, Mapo Tofu, Seafood Pasta, Roasted Chicken, Barbecue Ribs, Potato salad, Minestrone Soup, Cream of Corn Soup, Ginger Bread Cookies, and Brownies. 

As you can see from the photos below, the food looked really delicious and that all of the participants enjoyed themselves! 

The International Food Party was held during the lunch break in the General Students’ classroom, which is room number 502 at Vocational School LIFE Jr College. The General Students had decorated their classroom two weeks prior. The themes of the decorations were Autumn and American Thanksgiving. The General Students made many large posters to create a wonderful atmosphere in their classroom for the party. 

The General Students said it was every fun and interesting to taste so many different types of food from various countries. This class activity was also a very good opportunity for each of the General Students to try cooking different types of recipes. Both students and teachers at Vocational School LIFE Jr College are already looking forward to next year’s International Food Party.
